Key Matchday Information
Parking at our ground is very limited. Please read the guidance below and share with your parents and coaches before matchday.
Your cooperation is much appreciated.
The blue button below contains a link to our ground. You can walk down Fields Lane to get to the Pavilion and playing area, which is behind the trees that you will see in front of you as you walk down Fields Lane.
Please do not park in Fields Lane, Cobbs Close, The Brucks, Phoenix Drive or Leney Road. These are the streets on the approach to and in the immediare vicinity of the ground.
Out of respect for our community and neighbours in housing that is close to the ground, we we would be very grateful if all opposition coaches could adhere to the following guidance, around logistics and parking.
- Do not park in Fields Lane, Cobbs Close, The Brucks, Phoenix Drive or Leney Road;
- Talk to your WFC coach in the week before your fixture about the challenges we face to get everybody parked without causing inconvenience to you, our neighbours or other teams. They will know what other matches or events are planned on the day which may cause issues;
- Share cars whenever possible. If you have access to a "team bus", please use it. The track leading down to the gound is narrow, bumpy and rough. It will not be suitable for small cars or those that sit low to the ground;
- Use Google Maps. A quick view will show that there are 2 other car parks that are potentially available for use very near to the ground. Arrive 5 minutes earlier than normal and use them when you can, and walk to the ground.
Directions
If coming from Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells, turn right on Brandbridges Road, signposted Nettlestead and Wateringbury. Brandbridges Road is the East Peckham bypass (A228).
Drive through Nettlestead, into Wateringbury and then head up Bow Road. You will pass the Railway pub (on the left), Wateringbury School (on the right) and Maidstone Auto Centre (selling used cars, on the left). When you reach the traffic lights, the village hall will be on your left.
Turn right at these lights. Continue along the A26 for 300 yards, passing by the Shell petrol garage and the Wateringbury Hotel/Pub. Fields Lane is the first turning on the right after the pub.
If coming from Maidstone, follow the A26 through Barming and Teston villages. Just before you enter Wateringbury, Fields lane will be on the left hand side. If you reach the Wateringbury pub/hotel or the Shell petrol garage, you have gone too far.
Fields Lane turns into a dirt track road after about 200 yards. This track becomes very wet and unstable in winter, and is unsuitable for small cars or those with lowered suspensions.
